Click here to view the Booklet for the words and scriptural references
This Work is Rev. James F. Zoghby and Rev. John S. Boudreaux's original musical composition as well as their own selection, arrangement, editing and phrasing of scriptural passages from the Bible — primarily from the four Gospel accounts.
It is a scriptural summary of the Good News and, for the most part, a literal presentation of Scripture in which various scriptural passages or verses are arranged so as to compliment and shed light on each other.
In the booklet, which accompanies each copy of the recording, scriptural references for each song are individually listed in the margin beside the words of the song, line by line; they are also listed as a group, in biblical order, beneath the title of each song.
Using keyboard synthesizers (for the sounds of strings, brass, woodwinds, bass, bells, etc.) and also piano, rhythm percussion synthesizer, drum, cymbals and electronic tympani, the two played their musical accompaniment, recording it, one part at a time, on a multi-track tape recorder.
Boudreaux does the solo speaking, and Zoghby does the solo singing, and both sing together and speak together the group parts.
Live presentations of this Work have been given to various congregations and groups.
Rev. James F. Zoghby and Rev. John S. Boudreaux are Catholic priests serving in the Archdiocese of Mobile, Alabama.
The sound recording of this Work is available on a double-CD album or a double-cassette album, with the booklet included with each album. Additional copies of the booklet are also available separately.
